Almost Home opened in
September of 1990 as a small Tearoom specializing in light lunches and homemade
desserts. Having evolved many years into
a popular neighborhood restaurant, we want Almost Home to be "your place". The spot you most want to come to meet
friends or family and adaptable to your whims and moods. Come as you are.....always feel welcomed like
you are "Almost Home". Specializing in "comfort
foods" that warm body and soul. Fresh,
innovative and inspiring, using high quality ingredients and local when in
season. You will love the historic
atmosphere, friendly staff and delicious food.
The Bistro
Bright and cheery as you
enter the restaurant. The front counter
is full of pastries and desserts to tempt your palate. The burgundy oak booths make for a private
dining experience. Enjoy the yogism
along the border.
Historic Brick Dining Room
Renovated in 2002 this
room is stunning. The tin ceiling, brick
walls and stone foundation grace the dining room. The intimate bar with a glass panel door hung
and displaying wine glasses is the perfect place to sip your wine or cocktail.
Emerald Room
This beautiful appointed
banquet room is on the second floor above the restaurant. Tall ceilings and windows make for a great
view of downtown Greencastle. This
lovely room is great for private events.
Offsite
We can cater just about
anywhere. Our most popular site is the
Cataract Falls Covered Bridge. Almost
Home's catering trailer is equipped to transport food to most local
destinations.
